Mechanic creates amazing life-size version of that toy car you always wanted
REMEMBER THAT RED and yellow plastic motor that was every four-year-old’s dream?
The Little Tikes Cozy Coupé was a creche/playschool staple back in the day, and now it’s finally hitting the road.
Well, sort of.
John Bitmead of Attitude Autos, England, took it upon himself to create a real-life replica of the classic toy car for the craic.
5 months and £35,000 later he produced something rather magical.
The striking automobile has an 800cc engine, one air bag, and takes about 17 seconds to make it from 0 to 60 miles per hour. Its design is identical to the original, with the iconic yellow roof, no glass in the windows, and two great big drinks holders.
So, how did he manage to do it?
You can follow the process step-by-step on the Attitude Autos website.
